Grizzly Grizzly is an contemporary art space dedicated to exhibiting exceptional emerging artists. We showcase unique and engaging presentations of contemporary art with an unbound curatorial spirit.
About
Since December 2009, Grizzly Grizzly has already been graced by artists & curators hailing from Chicago, D.C., New York, Philadelphia, and Russia.
Grizzly Grizzly’s co-directors are also emerging artists, which creates a unique opportunity where the typical gallery process is challenged by artists curating artists.
Inviting proposals for exhibitions, installations, performances, collaborations and group shows, artists have free reign to approach Grizzly Grizzly with their concepts and ideas. Emerging curators are also encouraged to submit proposals.
Artists selected to show are asked to be involved in the curatorial process and are encouraged to stay involved with our subsequent shows.
Grizzly Grizzly is a round table effort of artists Cindy Stockton Moore, Jacque Lui, Mary Smull, Mike Ellyson, Dennis Matthews, Joshua Weiss & Bruce Wilhelm.

Grizzly Grizzly Welcomes New Proposals
Please include the following in your submission:
· Available dates
· Names and websites of all proposed artists
· Examples of work to be shown
· Contact information: Phone # and email
· Statement of Intent/Artists Statement
· List any special circumstances or needs
· CV
· Installation must take place a minimum 2 days prior to the opening. (Generally the first Friday of the month.)
· Images for press and artist statement must be sent 2 months prior to opening.
· Artists are expected (except in special circumstances) to be present and aid in the installation and de-installation of their work. We encourage ideas and input from the artists throughout the curatorial process.
